A Case of Spontaneous Healing of Prematurely Ruptured Amniotic Membrane




Abstract
A case of spontaneous healing of prematurely ruptured membrane is presented.
This case had taken McDonald operation at 22nd week of gestation for IIOC. Amniotic fluid leakage appeared from the next day of the operation. It was confirmed by vaginal finding, vernix and fetal hair as well as pH.
With Trendelenburg posture and complete bed rest with uterine tocolytic drugs, no more leakage was shown within eight days. Pregnancy continued up to 33rd week, when spontaneous amniotic rupture occurred again and normal delivery followed soon.
Baby was normal healthy male(1, 890gm. ).Mother and baby both discharged without complication, although the baby had been kept in incubator for 37 days.
